Hand kitting and custom assembly

Automated packing lines are great when every unit is the same. They're less great when the job involves fragile stock, odd shapes, ribbon, tissue, or a card that has to sit a particular way. That's where things go wrong: mispicks, crushed items, and a box that looks like it came off a conveyor because it did.

Mailing Today does the jobs the machines can't. We hand-assemble, kit, bag and gift-wrap from our warehouse in Rowville, and we've been doing it for charities, insurers and retailers who need it done properly rather than quickly.

Feature Automated Packing Hand Assembly at Mailing Today
Product shape Uniform, rigid items Irregular, fragile or mixed items

What we do

  • Hand assembly – folding display boxes, mounting promotional items, putting together multi-part products.

  • Kitting – pulling multiple SKUs into promo bundles, subscription boxes or retail packs, with a check at the end so nothing's missing.

  • Bagging and sealing – irregular items, hardware, apparel, with labelling to suit.

  • Gift set preparation – tissue, ribbon, personalised cards, placed the way your designer intended.

Why brands use us

  • Fewer returns. A person looks at every item before it goes in the box. Damaged or wrong stock gets caught here, not by your customer.

  • No casual labour to manage. You don't need to hire, train and roster temps for a campaign that runs three weeks. We already have the people and the floor space.

  • It arrives as designed. If you've paid for premium packaging, the unboxing should match it.

  • Certified. ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001, and an AusPost Bulk Mail Partner, so the same standards apply whether we're kitting 200 gift sets or lodging 50,000 letters.
